About this Event
Are you working or volunteering in the world of sport and physical activity? Are you feeling isolated and disconnected during this difficult time? Tune in to our Active Cheshire Chat – a half hour live discussion on mental health in sport and physical activity born from a collaboration between Active Cheshire, Merseyside Sport Foundation and Mind to remain apart but connected.
Active Minds have partnered with MSF and Mind to lead the establishment of new connections amongst those in the local sport sector who have an interest in mental health, even if we can’t see them face to face.
It’s not all about Covid-19. OK, this isn’t going to be a strict rule, but we do want to give space to topics that aren’t about the under supply of hand sanitiser or PPE, or the oversupply of Facebook memes about social distancing. We really want to focus on the impact on mental health and how we can work together to prepare for the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis
You will hear about:
- Mind’s North West sport and physical activity network project
- Active Minds’ objectives in Cheshire and Warrington and Active Minds’ role in Mind’s project
- The opportunity to access fully funded mental health training e-learning licences
Most importantly there will be the opportunity to ask questions and support each other through these uncertain times.
Please sign up to the Mental Health Sport Physical Activity Network Newsletter here.
We look forward to meeting you all
Stay Active, Stay In and Work Out.
