For the second time, Anne Boyd, CEO of Active Cheshire, has been shortlisted for the North West Institute of Directors awards in the Director of the Year – Public/Third Sector category.
Evolving and remodeling Active Cheshire over the past seven years, Anne will be celebrating her nomination on 14th of May 2020 in Manchester.
The prestigious North West & Isle of Man Director of the Year Awards has grown over the past sixteen years to represent the height of leadership and business excellence emphasizing the significant contribution business leaders can make to society and the economic prosperity in our region. Directors from diverse regional businesses have been recognised at these respected awards.

During her time at Active Cheshire, Anne has championed continuous professional and personal development for her staff, encouraging opportunities for their growth, often into more senior roles within the organisation. Her passion for the organisation alongside her care for her staff has led her to be recognised for her dedication through several nominations and successes, including Women in Business Award 2015 (Forward Ladies winner), Northern Power Woman 2018 award (Transformational Leader nominee), North West IoD Director of the Year 2018 award (Public/Third Sector nominee), and ‘The People’s Honours’ British Citizen Award 2020.
